Sandy-
I'm sorry your cat is so sick - I hope he's doing better.
Here's another article, just posted on PetHealthFocus. I hope it adds some clarification and can give you some more information for discussions with your veterinarian.
Hi Sandy,
I can maybe offer you some hope for Matte, I use a device called the LIFE Systems and have connections to Holistic Vets who I utilize and personally see the results of my special "gifts" I would recommend using a special water called "High Energy Water" for Matte, which is a hexagonal molecular structured water with added oxygen & digestible minerals called Fulvic Acid. Hydration (to the cellular level) is the key to addressing these types of illnesses, I can and will email you more info upon request FYI.
I just received an updated newsletter for pets from Mike Adams; Health Ranger:
"Dear readers,
Want to know how to help your pet live a long, healthful life? In an exclusive interview, "Live with Dr. Lisa Newman," Lisa Newman, N.D. and PhD, explains why commercial pet food and conventional veterinary care may actually be cutting your pet's life short.
Just as we see in people, the pet population is succumbing to increasing degenerative disease. But it's no coincidence: We're feeding our pets many of the same disease-causing ingredients that are used in the junk foods people eat. Check out the label on your pet's food or treats. You'll probably find it contains white rice or corn (refined grains) and salt, and sometimes even sugar or corn syrup. These are the same processed food ingredients that contribute to diabetes, hypertension and cancer in people.
But this is only the beginning of the story. When you start to really research how commercial pet foods are made, the ingredients list becomes truly horrifying. Did you know that recycled shoe leather is an acceptable ingredient? Even euthanized dogs and cats are "acceptable" ingredients in pet food.
I recently had an opportunity to interview Dr. Newman, a pet nutrition expert who is also the owner of Azmira Holistic Animal Care. She gave me an insider's view of what really goes on in the pet food industry, and she told me why pets are more diseased than ever. Dr. Newman also explained how to protect your pet with quality products and natural therapies.
Read all this and more in "Live with Dr. Lisa Newman," available for downloading now at:
In this fascinating interview, Dr. Newman shares vital information such as:
Why most commercial pet food supplements contain highly toxic ingredients
Which foods you should never give your pets
Why vegetarian pet food isn't a healthy alternative for your pet
How monthly flea, tick and heartworm medications are contributing to canine lymphoma
Why puppies and senior dogs need more vitamin C than adult dogs
Which table scraps are good for dogs and which ones you shouldn't give them
Why the number of dogs and cats with food allergies is rising
Why supplements containing only one vitamin or mineral don't work well for pets
Which ingredients help keep your pet's digestive tract clean and healthy
How kelp promotes a healthy, shiny coat
Why yucca is especially good for dogs
How nutritious foods can add many healthy years to a pet's life
Why pets need highly concentrated supplements
If you have pets, you will definitely want to read this interview with Dr. Newman. As a holistic pet health consultant, she has helped hundreds of animals overcome disease. In some cases, Dr. Newman has even healed animals who were so sick that their veterinarians recommended putting the animals to sleep"
This should be a WAKE UP CALL for many of my fellow pet lovers, I can and indeed will help as many as are led by The Spirit (G-d) to help as many as we can in return while there's still time!
Sincerely with the Love of The Lord Jesus Christ,
Tom Snyder

Hi Tom,
thank you for the information unfortunately we had to put Matte to sleep Oct 22d I am still upset with the vets and specialist . At the critical care hospital we thought only the specialist was going to take care of Matte but he was seeing a new doctor every eight hours and they were all putting their spin on how to take care of my cat.
I really believe that when i took my two cats in for their check ups in August something in the shots cause Mattes' system to go out of wack. He was fine until then. I am not going to take any more of my pets for a yearly check up they are all house pets and never come in contact with other cats. Matte was more then a cat to me and i thought i was giving him the best care possible but it wasn't enough. Thanks again for the information Sandy Knox
Hi Sandy you are sure welcome, Matte's story reminds me of my lost buddy Krispy, he was the finest little boy cat you can imagine, he would come and roll in the lap of any visitor, let you sweep his shedding hair with the Dirt Devil vac and LOVE it; stand up on his hind legs to grab cat "Whisker Lickens" off the counter; that was probably the weakness (in hindsight) that caused the kidney's to go early (18 years still wasn't bad) I now use Naturvet Cranberry Relief and Wapiti Labs Renal Formula + three or four other Wapiti/ Azmira herbal remedies & the good High Energy Water 'N LIFE biofeedback to keep Tigger & Honey "in tune"
I feel your loss as well, in the long term it is lessons like this that make us stay stronger to The Lord telling us what is right and what we need to teach the younger Gen X kids today who are mostly going to be in charge before long ! Yuk...
Sandy, Sorry to hear about your cat. I hope that you are coping well. I just wanted to mention, as a follow up to Tom's reply, that I have been using Wapiti Labs Mobility Formula on my golden with awesome results. Its all natural, which is a must for me, and it has showed great results. I shared this with my neighbor who's cat was going through terrible renal issues. She tried their Renal Formula and noticed her cat wasn't moping around as much and seemed to have life back. It's a supplement, so we wouldn't expect it to cure the kidney issues, but she's loved the results so far.
I am sorry to hear about your loss. Pet health is so important, and you seemed to have a terrible experience. I do believe that you should continue to take your pets to a veterinarian. I wrote an article on pet health and being aware of the H1N1. Please read it for your knowledge. ()
